The farm
Since the summer of 1995 Gammalsbygården operates as an inn. Open from April to October for the rental of rooms and ordering meals. Lunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer.
We offer our guests good homemade food with ingredients from the area around “Gammalsby” (The village). Fresh fish from Bläsinge port and deer from Ottenby.
The farm has fourteen individually decorated rooms, all with shower, toilet and television. Free wireless internet access in all rooms and in the garden.
We offer friendly service and access to a relaxed environment.

The Inn’s high season is summer, especially in July, when Öland has its largest influx of visitors, but more and more people find their way to this Inn in May and August/September.
Gammalsbygården is located right in the middle of the farmland of Öland. Surrounding farms make the environment alive. Gammalsby located in “Gräsgårds” parish where half of the surface is “Alvar” (The unique and typical moor of Öland), one third is arable land and the rest meadows. On the beach embankments leeward side, the first Neolithic farmers (5000 years ago) found easily cultivated sandy soil and there they later settled.
Rooms for rest and reflection
Sleep well in the individually furnished rooms and wake up to the soothing air of Öland. All rooms are equipped with shower, toilet, television and wireless internet (free). Breakfast is included. Some of the rooms can be supplemented with extra bed if desired.
If you want to treat yourself or surprise your loved ones, you can get the room “romanticized.” A half bottle of chilled champagne waiting on arrival as well as fruit, candy and beds with cold mangled sheets. An extra charge of 450 SEK will be charged.
Conference, Wedding and party
At Gammalsbygården you also can arrange your conference. Confer in the tranquil enviroment of the farm and find inspiration for wise decisions. Escape the daily stress and enjoy a peaceful existence in a unique environment.
The barn can accommodate up to 40 people and is equipped with modern conference technology. Come for the day or stay for several days.
