Welcome to us at Marsjö!
Marsjö Ostrich and Cultural Center is situated about 20 km north of Borgholm on the west side of Öland. Welcome to stop by as you explore the island of Öland. Here you can spend the night in individual and individually decorated rooms and get a hearty breakfast the next morning. You can also try our à la carte menu where the good ostrich meat plays the lead role. If it takes your fancy – and we believe it will do – you can buy the farms own meat and also handicrafts from the farm.
The animals, of course, are our pride and there are plenty of ostriches to admire. You can also visit our trotting horses and maybe even take a ride.
Bed & Breakfast with both speed and peace
Marsjö Ostrich Farm Bed and Breakfast is housed in a turn of the century Öland farm surrounded by beautiful pastures and barns. No traffic disrupts the sleep for our guests. Each room has its own special decor and overall there is room for 14 people in the house. Most rooms are made up of two, but extra beds can be set up in the rooms to accommodate families and larger groups.
Shop with ostriches in focus
On Marsjö Ostrich and Cultural Centre, there are also good opportunities to buy some delights and curiosities from the farm. Our farm shop, which is housed in the same premises as a restaurant and café, is decorated with ostrich crafts produced and sold on the farm.
Conferences in a beautiful country setting
Marsjö Ostrich and Cultural Center welcomes conference attendees to our bright and fresh rooms in the Öland country environment. In addition to the conference room there is a common room which is available for socializing or TV. There is also access to a kitchenette.
Farm café with homemade delights
Housed in a former barn, you will find a cozy cafe environment where you can relax for a while. In the summer it is here we cool down and onwards evening’s it´s a cozy nook. Our range of pastries varies but the idea is to offer something for everyone, even those who suffers celiac. Coffee and tea as well as cold drinks and ice cream are also available of course. A more unusual feature of the menu is probably our own ostrich cheesecake with cream and whipped cream. Usually there are also fresh waffles for those who desire.
