Welcome to Mellangården
Want to get out into the country and stay in a real home from home, with four double bedrooms, and a large lovely garden, with garden furniture and barbecue?
With the possibility of exploration of nature, culture, agriculture and animals in one of Öland’s beautiful row villages? Then you should stay at Mellangården Farm.
The farm that we rent out “bed and breakfast” is next door to the farm in which we ourselves live. Agriculture and animals, dairy cattle, sheep’s, cats, dogs, rabbits are on “our side” of the wall and if it is enough to enjoy the nature and culture from your part, we are excited to offer this! But do you want to see what life is like on our farm, then we are more then happy to receive visits from you!
The surroundings
The village is located in “Räpplinge” parish, in the middle of Öland.
In the older part of the village there are 8 farms, of which 4 is used as active farm with animals.
On Äpplerums “Alvar” (the unique and typical moor of Öland) there are plenty of herbs and other grazing favored plants that show that this area was pasture for a long time and today it is grazed by heifers and steers from Mellangården. The sheep and lambs grazing pastures that are more fertile than the Alvar and these are within walking distance to the farm.
Our Rooms
Two of the farms doubles are on the upper floor along with our little reading corner and a common toilet & shower. On the middle floor is two rooms at an angle to each other where we can open up between them, it becomes a family room with 4 beds, in addition there is also a shared toilet and shower, kitchen, dining room and entrance. On the ground floor there is an additional common toilet & shower, and there you will also find the common room with TV & games.
We can accommodate maximum 8 guests / night.
