The campsite
Tokenäs Camping is located in a scenic area about 700 meters south of Byxelkrok on northern Öland. All together there are about 125 sites of which 55 have their own electricity.
Tokenäs Camping, dating back to the 50’s, is known for its exquisite surroundings consisting of lush green bushes and trees in countless varieties and a mix from the rich flora on Öland. “One of the most beautiful campsites on Öland”, many visitors meant … and not without reason even more thought…. “One of Ölands last remaining idyllic campsites”, an epithet that truly fits the area.
Reception and Service
In the same building as the reception there are kiosks where you can buy everything from ice cream, candy and soft drinks to suntan oil, charcoal and inflatable boats … You can also rent a bike from us – from 80 :-/ day.
We have a fresh and nice service building located on the northern part of the area. Here you will find everything you need in the form of toilets, showers, dishwashing, laundry and kitchen. We have separate departments for Women and Men.
Activities
Of course, the most popular summer activity is sunbathing and the ocean! Just 100 meters from the campsite, Kalmarsund with its blue waters awaits you …
Within the camping area, you can also engage in various activities such as soccer, volleyball and badminton. With the campsite as a starting point, you have access to fine tracks for your jog along Ölands west coast.
Like any family-friendly campsite we have a playground where children can play with fresh and lovely sand in the sandbox, swing in the swings, ride in the slide …
On the playground there is also a cool Indian wigwam with related swing vine and a large hollow wood log. Our trampoline, where kids can jump for hours, is obviously very popular!
The neighborhood also has a variety of activities like flying, go-carts, golf, etc., this and the proximity to Byxelkrok where the harbor and shopping is located, ensures that you´ll never get bored on Tokenäs.
