The event that opens the doors to the spring on \u00d6land.<\/strong><\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]For the 14th year, The \u00d6land’s Harvest Festival organize \u00d6land Sprouts; an event that opens the doors to the spring on \u00d6land. Visitors will be offered activities around the island associated with gardens and outdoor life.<\/p>\n

This year, Oland Sprouts is the second weekend in May.<\/p>\n

The theme for the weekend is garden, nature and rural life, and across the island of \u00d6land visitors are offered activities in this spirit. Shop, eat well and discover the sights on an island dressed in its most beautiful spring colors. Art, music and literature are cultural elements that will spice your stay.<\/p>\n

Just when \u00d6land is at one of its most beautiful seasons, with orchids and birdsong, we invite you to a weekend filled with relaxation and inspiration. \u00d6land with its natural values in the landscape, such as the World Heritage in the south of \u00d6land, meadows and the coastlines, experiences you will not find elsewhere.<\/p>\n

The Bird Route on southeastern \u00d6land<\/h3>\n

Come and see all activities along the Bird route on southeastern \u00d6land.<\/p>\n

Every village and businesses organize their own activities during \u00d6land Sprouts.<\/p>\n

Along the Bird route you will find Guided walks, Village walks and Bird walks.<\/p>\n

Here you will be served spring soup and many cafe’s activities will be open.<\/p>\n

So along the Bird route there will be many activities, activities for all ages.<\/p>\n

A short Geology class for all at Gillberga quarry<\/h3>\n

Geologist Jan Mikaelsson talks about “Fuming volcanoes and exciting octopuses.” Together the group will experiment with volcanoes and search for fossils and exciting stones.<\/p>\n

This year’s program in the quarry is not set yet, so keep an eye at the website for more info when it comes.<\/p>\n

But one thing for sure, there is always exciting things happening in Gillberga Quarries![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]\"Gillberga-Stenbrott-[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]\"Stuga[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Garden Centres on \u00d6land<\/h3>\n

During the \u00d6land Sprout weekend, Garden Centre\u2019s offers special arrangement with lectures, try on activities for children and adults, exhibitors, and a select assortment.<\/p>\n

Guided tours during \u00d6land Sprouts<\/h3>\n

\u201d\u00d6landsguiderna\u201d (\u00d6land guides) takes you out to the nature and culture of \u00d6land. If you want to know more about the \u201cAlvar\u201d, fishing, fortresses, birds, geology, churches, orchids, rune stones, or Authors of \u00d6land? Or would you like to visit places that are difficult to find on your own? Means of transportation? Well all kinds, Hiking, Biking, Car or Buss, it\u2019s all up to you. \u201d\u00d6landsguiderna\u201d will be happy to take you there, and in a variety of languages.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The full program for the event is not fixed yet, but one thing is certain, \u00d6land will be buzzing with activities, from the light houses \u201cL\u00e5nge Jan\u201d (Tall Jan) in the south to \u201cL\u00e5nge Erik\u201d (Tall Erik) in the north, there will be something for everyone when \u00d6land reveals itself in all its glory and splendour at the \u201c\u00d6land Spirar\u201d.<\/p>\n
