The Bakery in the harbour of Färjestaden

When we enter the bakery, the owner, Susanne Eden, stands with flour up to her elbows and bakes crispbread for all what she’s worth. The harbour in Färjestaden has got a new place to frequent, this in the former café and ice cream parlor operated by Lotta, from Lotta & Mary Pottery next door. After some short discussions between the two, Susanne started the bakery, and now serves fresh baked bread at the bakery and also supplies bread to Seasalt Restaurant just a couple of steps away.

The bakery/cafe is decorated in the same fun industrial-style furniture that the restaurant Seasalt is. These are sold also by Susanne but due to lack of space, she has now found a new location in the old roundhouse close to the harbour in Färjestaden, where she now sells the home furnishing. Susanne is a true entrepreneur who constantly develops her concepts. This summer there will be music performances at both restaurant Seasalt and the bakery/cafe. Susanne also points out that the success of the revitalized harbour area in Färjestaden is made possible by the successful cooperation with the other actors in harbour.
