About Wikegårds
Wikegårds holiday village is an old genuine Öland farm that has been carefully renovated to retain its old charm. Here you can enjoy beautiful scenery, lovely beach and good service. During high season, guests wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread and the sound of waves gently rolling in to the shore.
At the farm’s old fields, 100 campsites is available, all with the ocean as the neighbor. Would you rather stay in a cottage, then several different sizes are offered for rent, alternatively here is also a hostel.
Wikegårds is open from May to September.
The campsite
At Wikegårds there are 100 campsites, 84 of which have electricity, and you are all welcome, whether you bring your tent, caravan or motor home.
All locations have immediate vicinity to a lovely, shallow beach. Both campgrounds and cabins have access to the service building in the area. In addition there is a small grocery store where guests can purchase freshly baked bread.
Service building
• 6 showers with separate doors from outside. Laundry facilities.
• 7 toilets including 1 handicapped accessible with shower.
• 4 sinks under canopies and four hotplates under canopies.
• Utility room with washing machine, ironing board and child care.
Note, showers are of course free of charge.
The cottages
2 bed cottage
2-bed cottage named Marianne. The cottage is 10 m2, has a fridge, hob and microwave. Shower and toilet facilities in the service building. Bedroom with two single beds.
4 bed cottages
4-bed cottages named Högenäs, Träsudden, Norrholm and Vildrosen.
They are self-catering, private shower, toilet and kitchenette. They have a glazed in terrace 12-15 m2. Bedroom with bunk beds and living room with sofa bed.
6 bed cottages
6-bed cottages named Vallmon, Prästkragen and Blåklinten.
Prästkragen and Blåklinten has a toilet and a small kitchen. All cottages have shower in the service building. Bedroom with bunk beds and a glazed balcony of 12-16 m2.
Hostel
The hostel is located in the original farm houses and brewery. It has been carefully renovated to retain its old charm. The hostel consists of two houses – Axelhuset and Brygghuset. There are three rooms in each house, toilet and shower are in a separate building next door (not the same as the service building). There is a kitchen per building, each shared by three rooms.
kitesurfing
The shallow sandy beach offers the best conditions for kite surfing. The beach is beautifully situated between the capes Högenäs orde (nature reserve) and Norrholm. The north eastern afternoon breeze provides the best conditions for kite surfing here.
Access to a storage room right next to the beach if desired.
