The mill and the food
The mill in Grönhögen was built in 1844 on the farm “Bolleholm” In Önnerstads parish near Kristianstad.
In 1916 Albert Sjöman bought the mill for money he earned from the gold fields in Australia. The mill was dismantled and shipped by sea to Grönhögen.
Mill operations as a mill continued until the end of World War II, when it was transferred to Ventlinge municipality that made the mill to their Fire Department.
Restaurant Operations in the mill began in 1978 with various restaurateurs and different orientations.
At the end of 2009, Betim Bacovic bought the mill and after a thorough renovation and facelift of the property he opened his restaurant to the 2010 season.
With his roots in the restaurant world, he continued the tradition and combined an a la carte menu with a generous pizza range.
In a pleasant atmosphere and surroundings with outdoor seating in the summer, there is something for everyone here, from Pizza to a la carte and children’s menu.
