The hostel
The hostel is located in Hagaby just south of Löttorp in the north of Öland. It offers a rustic living and is situated next door to a couple of farms with sheep’s, cows and horses. The building was originally a nineteenth century manor farmhouse. Here you can even stay in Bedouin tents and hammocks.
The hostel is close to wonderful child friendly sandy beaches. A small path crosses the meadows to the sea on the east side of Öland. Are you interested in golf, then Öland golf course is just a few kilometers away. The surroundings are also perfect for bike tours in the special landscape of Öland, Sweden Trail and Öland Trail is passing just next to the hostel.
The accommodation
We offer 7 double rooms in the farmhouse and 10 quadruple in the red building, 2 double bedrooms, one single and one quadruple in “Alpvillan”, 2 double bedrooms and a single room in the “Brygghuset” (the Brew house), a small apartment of 1 room and kitchen, a little more private with 2 beds and 2 cozy simple cottages with 4-beds in each cottage (shower and toilet inn another house).
We can also provide sleeping in hammocks, Colombian (fair trade) under roof. If you book online, you can book single, double and four-bed rooms. Do you have a dog (we have a couple of dog rooms, and the cottages are ideal for dogs), if you like to book the apartment, cottages or hammock, e-mail or call us.
Good to know
Front desk hours during peak season 8-10 am, 5-7 pm (check in 5-7 pm). Open for groups all year.
For parties, camps or company, the entire hostel can be rented at a special price. We have a large dining room that can accommodate over 50 guests for dinner. We have good contacts for catering and can also arrange jazz, rock or folk music. Birthday parties and weddings are popular here.
