The campingsite
On northern Öland, which is always at the top of the sun league, you will find some of Öland’s best and longest sandy beaches. Here you will also find Sonjas Camping and Cabins, a quiet and beautiful five-star family campsite that has something for everyone, young and old.
The campsite area consists of nice big lawns with lush boundaries. Next to the reception you will find a restaurant with pizzeria, snack bar and cafe. There is also a mini market and a pool area with two pools, one is a smaller baby pool.
The area has three service facilities. In the center of the plant you will find the children’s own service room, with showers and small car-bathtubs that are tailored to children’s needs and wishes. Here children under 10 year’s also showers for free. There is also a laundry room, guest kitchen, a lounge with TV and a playroom. Wash-up possibilities, toilets and showers are available in all service facilities. We also have six family rooms with shower and toilet, one is disabled friendly.
We have also thought of our little four-legged friends, and have therefore made a dog shower.
Cabins
We have cabins in different price ranges depending on size, 2 – 12 people.
All cabins are non-smoking, some are also pet-free.
Conferences
Villa Skarpåker – staying with that “little extra”
Perfect for mini-conferences, kick-offs, planning, personnel- or birthday parties. The large and well-equipped kitchen offers good opportunities for cooking, if you prefer catering service we can help you arrange that.
Villa Skarpåker is a “around the year villa” of 180 kvm that has “that little extra”, the villa with its associated and large garden is located 300 m north of the campsite in an open landscape. Approximately 1000 meters from the ocean. The whole villa has high standards and consistently wood floors and tiled floors with under floor heating.
Bad
Here are Öland finest sandy beach, very child friendly with a lovely shallow beach.
The area includes two swimming pools, one of which is a baby pool – both lovely to cool off in during
the Öland heat.
Activities
On Sonja Camping and Cabins you can have an active holiday if you wish. Ocean bath, walking and biking in the beautiful scenery obviously attracts likewise. But if you want to do something in addition to this, there are many options for both large and small
There are both large and small playgrounds, jumping pillows, mini golf, tennis court and boules court. Twice a week, we organize quiz walks in our neighborhood. During high season we have animators who daily arrange activities for the children, such as storytelling, sack jumping, Kubb tournament or sandcastle competition on the beach, the weekly program is posted on our message boards.
At the pool, we have barbeque evenings with troubadour entertainment 1-2 times a week, karaoke, last year we sang together at the pool which was highly appreciated and we are committed to continue 2012.
If you want to rent a bike we have a few options. Choose between normal bike or bike-cars for between 1-5 people. Bike-cars may only be operated in our region, not on major roads.
If you do not ride a bike, try our very popular walking / jogging track length of 2.0 km, 2.7 km and 4.1 km. This year, guests will be able to try some line dancing.
The food
The cozy restaurant / cafe at the campsite offers good home cooking from Öland,
pizza, snack bar and is also fully licensed. At the pool we have barbeque evenings with troubadour entertainment.
Shop Reception
The campsite has a modern well-stocked shop with freshly baked bread every morning. The reception also offers tourist information and there is also seating so you can enjoy a cup of coffee or just rest while studying the brochures. Here is a small library where you can borrow a book during the holiday.
