About Us
Here at Stora Frö you are in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage: Southern Öland´s Agricultural Landscape, and quite close to “Stora Alvaret”( The unique and typical moor of Öland) special flora and fauna. We have our own private beach and a restaurant with classic Swedish cuisine and fully licensed.
The accommodation
Stora Frögården has a total of 31 rooms, with space for 81 people. The rooms are located in three buildings that together surround our beautiful courtyard which houses lovely seating areas and an outdoor terrace.
We have several lounges with TV, hostel kitchen and dining rooms for those who want to cook their own meals.
With us you can choose breakfast, sheets/towels and departure cleaning or you can choose to arrange it by yourself.
In high season we have a breakfast buffet and a fully licensed à la carte restaurant. Other times of the year we arrange food and beverage upon request and agreement.
The food
Welcome to the hostel and restaurant by the ocean, with wonderful surroundings and a private beach. Here can you who stays at Stora Frögården get a good breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. The table is set for classic tastes with a touch of Öland. The restaurant with its outdoor seating is open for everyone and focuses on local produced commodities and a varied menu. The goal is to use as much locally grown and locally produced ingredients as possible in the food that we serve.
After dinner you can relax with card games, backgammon and maybe a drink from the bar.
To Do
Around Stora Frö, you can find everything you can imagine, ranging from windsurfing to our historical heritage, it’s yours to choose. Maybe a trip to Eketorp Fortress or the Borgholm Castle, culture and adventure is just around the corner here. Here you will find something of interest for everyone.

Welcome to conference on the scenic STF Stora Frögården. We offer a modern conference room, restaurant, lounge, accommodations in 1-6 bed rooms with shower, and an exciting cuisine from our chef Jacky.
